Andrew Schimmels, DPT
A University High School graduate and Spokane native, Andrew returns to Physical Therapy Associates as a physical therapist. Andrew first started his PT journey as an intern at PTA, then an Aide at PTA, and now a DPT at PTA. Andrew has a passion for working with athletes and utilizing evidence based treatments for both injury reduction and return to sport. He finds joy in preparing individuals to move with confidence post-injury rehabilitation.
Specialties
Manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and treatment of orthopedic conditions. Andrew Also has a special interest in sports recovery, including ACL and Achilles injuries. He has continuing education in blood flow restriction for acute and post-operative patients to help accelerate and improve healing times.

Outside of the clinic, Andrew enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, spike ball. He is an avid hiker and is developing a newfound passion for skiing. After finishing PT school with his wife, he is extremely excited to be back in the area treating the wonderful people of the Spokane community.
